Parks and Recreation
With numerous parks located within its nineteen-mile city boundary, Menlo Park is indeed a “City of Parks”. While visiting the parks, look for tennis courts, softball diamonds, picnic areas, children’s playgrounds, soccer fields and plenty of well maintained open spaces. The City’s Bayfront Park on the eastern end of Marsh Road offers spectacular vistas of the Bay and a look onto the Federal Wildlife Preserve of Greco Island.
The area is also rich in county and state-maintained parks, all within an easy drive. Thanks to the hospitable climate, residents enjoy camping, hiking and fishing almost all year round. Horse-back riding, archery and golf are some of the other options available for a complete outdoor experience.
