On Tuesday October 16th, Menlo Park Mayor Kirsten Keith will deliver the “State of the City” address, a joint function between the City of Menlo Park and the Menlo Park Chamber of Commerce. The event is currently scheduled to start at 6:00 o’clock. The State of the City traditionally provides an opportunity for the Mayor to give an overview of significant events during their tenure. This event also provides an opportunity for all of the City Commissioner’s, the City Council, the business community and the significant volunteer cadre to come together. The State of the City address also considers future opportunities for the Council and the Community. The City will also be honoring the services of each of the City Commissions and the work of our Commissioners, including the Planning Commission, the Housing Commission, the Transportation Commission, the Parks & Recreation Commission, the Bicycle Commission, the Library Commission and the Finance and Audit Committee.
Mayor Keith is completing her second year on the City Council, which follows a rich background of serving on City Commissions (Housing and Planning), community and school volunteerism. Ms. Keith is a local attorney, and lives with her family in Menlo Park.
All citizens are welcome and encouraged to attend. Please join us in the festivities on October 16th in the Courtyard at the Stanford Park Hotel to attend the State of the City. Hors d’oeurvres will be provided, accompanied by a no host bar.
