Coyote Point Recreation Area over-looks the San Francisco Bay. The museum consists of four interconnected areas: the Environmental Hall with natural history exhibits; Themed Gardens with a hummingbird garden and a butterfly habitat; Wildlife Habitats in natural settings; and an Outdoor
Bird Sanctuary.

The 1902 Colonial and Georgian Revival-inspired house was built by Edwin Percy Gamble, son of the founder of Proctor and Gamble. His daughter, Elizabeth, designed both the formal and working gardens. Visitors can take a self-guided tour of the house and gardens.

Filoli is a 654-acre estate 30 miles south of San Francisco with magnificent gardens and a grand Georgian mansion where hundreds of rare flowers, plants and trees flourish. The name is from the Irish motto: “To Fight, To Love, To Live”, and is one of the few California country homes built in the early 1900s which remains intact in its original setting. The mansion and sixteen acres of formal gardens are open to the public from February to November.

The Hiller Aviation Museum includes a fully operational control tower, theatre, lecture hall, instructional center, library, conference center, and a repair workshop. The museum also hosts special events and symposia on past and future aviation.

Restored and now maintained by The Junior League of Palo Alto/Mid-Peninsula, the Gatehouse is the sole surviving structure from the original 380-acre elaborate estate built in 1864.
